Steven Jones 2011 "From 9/11 to New Energy" - A continuous thread throughout this talk is the importance of the Scientific Method and experimental data in discovering the truth. Jones notes that Galileo's "conviction" by the Inquisition for teaching that the earth was not the center of the solar system parallels his own struggles to present the truth of 9/11. Dick Cheney lobbied to give the BYU commencement address in 2007 after Jones was relieved of teaching duties at BYU. While it was Jones' work on the demolition of the WTC and subsequent discovery of NanoThermite that will eventually go down in history as the most monumental achievement of our time, it was Jones himself who should have given that commencement address. Someday he will get his Nobel Prize! Briefly touching on 9/11, Jones goes on to show that man-made earthquakes are well documented, that his own research on muon- and metal-catalyzed fusion is substantiated in the peer reviewed literature (and differentiates it from the work of Pons and Fleischmann which gave "cold fusion" a bad name). In fact, on-going research in Australia, is presently attempting to extrapolate his work on muon-catalyzed fusion to non-polluting power-plant reality. Finally he says that if we are ever to find a new kind of dynamical energy and thereby enter a New Renaissance, we must "take the control of energy sources out of the hands of the wealthy elite and put it into homes and communities worldwide."
