Born in the United States to an American Jewish mother and an Iraqi Muslim father, she lived in Iraq as a child, returning to the U.S. at age 5. After graduating from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Biology in 1993, she earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. A major thesis is: Occupation of Iraq is the extention of Occupation of Palistine. She says: “American Policy on Israeli Nuclear Weapons: Don’t ask, don’t tell!” Dr. Wasfi has made two trips to Iraq to visit her extended family since the 2003 “Shock and Awe” invasion, including a three month stay in Basrah in the spring of 2006. Plain Sight: The 9/11 "Official Story" and the Collapse of WTC Building
Seven,” David Ray Griffin issues his famous call to begin the “Building
What!?” movement, to highlight the lies of the “official” conspiracy
theory. Over the while, this has morphed into the “Remember Building 7”
movement and now “Occupy Building 7” is part of the Truth Movement!

A leading social science journal argues that social scientists need to develop a scientific approach to studying an increasingly important type of criminality: State Crimes Against Democracy, abbreviated SCADs, understood as “concerted actions . . . by government insiders intended to manipulate democratic processes and undermine popular sovereignty,” having the “potential to subvert political institutions and entire governments . . . [SCADs] are high crimes that attack democracy itself.” David Ray Griffin is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, at Claremont School of Theology. Gene Sharp 1990 "The Power and Potential of Nonviolent Struggle"

Gene Sharp, Senior Scholar of the Albert Einstein Institution, shares insights from his life study of how nonviolent struggle can work. For many years Gene and the Albert Einstein Institution have been mentors and catalysts for nonviolent struggle throughout the world. In this film Gene shows with example after compelling example what it takes to nurture successful nonviolent struggle. Military people trained in violence as the only way and people fighting against military violence can change their minds, hearts and ways as they learn how nonviolent struggle can work. Thoughtful strategy, discipline to carry it out, a willingness to learn and understand what people of a place want and will support are essential aspects of nonviolent struggle. Political power is not intrinsic to rulers nor is it monolithic. Political power is derived from the people of a place and will disintegrate when people withdraw their obedience and support. The film opens with a trailer of the award winning film - How To Start A Revolution. Gene gave this talk, in 1990 at the National Conference on Nonviolent Sanctions and Defense in Boston. Since then he continues his work, ever more research, and writing that is translated into numerous languages where ever nonviolent struggle challenges non democratic ways.
