| Broadcaster and writer Barrie Zwicker has specialized in media
criticism since 1970. He was the media critic for Canada's Vision TV
(available in 8-million homes) from the channel's inception in 1988.
With this series of seven commentaries "What Really Happened on
September 11th," Zwicker was the first person in the world to suggest on
mainstream television that elements of the U.S. Government were complicit in the events of 9/11. The series generated the largest (and 99% positive) response of any programming in the channel's history. To fill a 1 hour PATV time slot the following interview has been appended: hummux 2004 "Enlightenment is a Full Time Job" (pronounced who-mook, lower case) This interview was made at the 2004 "Toronto International Citizen's Inquiry into 9/11" where hummux produced the video for the conference organized by Barrie Zwicker. They have been great friends ever since. The following description is excerpted from Barrie Zwicker's 2006 book, "Towers of Deception."Born and bred a cold warrior, hummux went to M.I.T. on a scholarship then earned his PhD in physics from Case Institute of Technology. He worked on Star Wars projects for 20 years, including the "Star Wars" anti-missile systems at Lawrence Livermore Labs. Then the Cold War ended. The Enemy, the Soviet Union, was defeated. He quit physics, took to the woods for 10 years, transforming himself into hummux. After September 11, 2001, hummux saw that a new scam was in the making. The sustained hoax of a world domination by communism was being replaced by the new hoax of the war on terror. theology books to his credit, wrote The 9/11 Commission Report:
Omissions and Distortions, after he did an intensive study of US
imperialism after 9/11. The 9/11 Commission was supposed to conduct a serious investigation into the question of who was responsible for the attacks of 9/11. Instead, it simply presupposed the official conspiracy theory, according to which the attacks were planned and carried out solely by al-Qaeda. The Commission entirely ignored all evidence for the alternative conspiracy theory, according to which the attacks succeeded only because of complicity by members of the US government. Griffin brings together an account of the national tragedy that is far more logical than the one we've been asked to believe. critique presupposes a discussion of 9/11 itself, especially the
question of who was responsible for the attacks. The official theory is
that the attacks were planned and carried out entirely by Arab Muslims. Dr. David Ray Griffin, speaking as a theologian, explains why Christians above all should oppose empire and hence seek to expose the truth about 9/11. On Saturday, March 25, 2006, the author of The New Pearl Harbor made a return to his accustomed discipline of theology. He spoke to a large audience crowding into the Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara, CA. The evidence that 9/11 was a false flag attack is very strong, Griffin argued, lamenting that most Americans reject the idea that their own government could ever do such a thing – without examining the facts! In reality, false flag attacks are historically common, frequently used by empires to provide pretexts for war and create the enemy images necessary for rallying a fearful people behind imperial policy. The history of the United States has not been different in this regard, as Griffin makes clear. And those who attain these insights, especially with regard to 9/11, are forced to take action. Griffin notes that we are living in an empire similar to the Roman Empire at the time of Jesus, which put him to death for resistance against it. Griffin therefore asks his fellow Christians in America how they should respond to this realization. David Ray Griffin is professor emeritus at the Claremont School of Theology and co-director of the Center for Process Studies. Among his classic books are God and Religion in the Postmodern World and Religion and Scientific Naturalism.
