| Vincent Gabriel, Jr returned from his tour of duty in Vietnam thirty
eight years ago. He fought in the Tet offensive of 1968. Now Gabriel, a
noted Midcoast Maine musician, has committed his experiences to songs
and a series of spoken vignettes. The result is the moving documentary,
11 Bravo Vietnam, A Soldiers Story. The 55 minute presentation consists
of songs and spoken memories with a multimedia accompaniment of
documentary footage and personal photographs. 11 Bravo Vietnam, A Soldiers Story is a virtual scrapbook of one young man’s experiences in combat from the day he receives word of his induction to his homecoming. He sings of terribly brief friendships on the battle field, the searing awareness of his mortality and the random forces which preserve one life and take another. He tells of the importance of family and humor. It's a deeply personal tale. A tale, he notes, which is only one among a million others. And now that American men and women are again deployed half a world away in Iraq and Afghanistan , Gabriel’s memoir is more relevant than ever. As the news media flash footage of anonymous warriors and cite statistics, 11 Bravo reminds us that each one of those figures on the screen has a dream for the future, hopes and loved ones, and a constant fear. Gabriel’s documentary is not about policy, or politicians, or generals. 11 Bravo is about the combat soldier’s day to day struggle for survival in the chaos of a war - survival of the soul as well as of the body. Vincent Gabriel served as a point man, radio operator with Charlie Company, Second Battalion, 18th Regiment, First Infantry Division during the 1968 Tet Offensive. -- |

Bruce Gagnon 2006 "The Necessity of the Conversion of the Military Industrial Complex"
| While many Americans are complacent (and complicate) with the growing
global dominance of the US Military, Bruce Gagnon calls for the
conversion of that huge industrial capacity to alternative energy, jobs
for Americans and peace. Our Number 1 export is weapons, and without war, our economy fails as it is now structured! -- Tags: 911, Military, War, War Economy, Jobs, Peace, -- Produced: 2006, Episode: 911TV ID: BG-1, -- 57:35, Category: Education -- View This Show On YouTube: https://youtu.be/yLfFGUNScIw -- More 911TV Films On YouTube: http://youtube.com/911TVorg -- 911TV’s Blog http://Blog.911tv.org -- 911TV's Website http://www.911TV.org -- |

Gene Sharp 1990 "The Power and Potential of Nonviolent Struggle"
| (Full Show - 58 minutes 24 seconds)
Gene Sharp, Senior Scholar of the Albert Einstein Institution, shares insights from his life study of how nonviolent struggle can work. For many years Gene and the Albert Einstein Institution have been mentors and catalysts for nonviolent struggle throughout the world. In this film Gene shows with example after compelling example what it takes to nurture successful nonviolent struggle. Military people trained in violence as the only way and people fighting against military violence can change their minds, hearts and ways as they learn how nonviolent struggle can work. Thoughtful strategy, discipline to carry it out, a willingness to learn and understand what people of a place want and will support are essential aspects of nonviolent struggle. Political power is not intrinsic to rulers nor is it monolithic. Political power is derived from the people of a place and will disintegrate when people withdraw their obedience and support. The film opens with a trailer of the award winning film - How To Start A Revolution. Gene gave this talk, in 1990 at the National Conference on Nonviolent Sanctions and Defense in Boston. Since then he continues his work, ever more research, and writing that is translated into numerous languages where ever nonviolent struggle challenges non democratic ways. Gene Sharp's books are available for order or free download from The Albert Einstein Institution, www.AEinstein.org Including: From Dictatorship to Democracy, Self-Liberation, There Are Realistic Alternatives -- |

Ross Ashcroft 2012 “Four Horsemen” SD & HD Formats
| Available in SD & HD Formats for Public TV. FOUR HORSEMEN is an award winning independent feature documentary that lifts the lid on how the world really works. It correlates the rapacious financial system, escalating violence, abject poverty, exhaustion of resources and destruction of environment with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: the White, Red, Black and Yellow horses of Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. As we will never return to “business as usual,” 23 international thinkers, government advisers and Wall Street money-men break their silence and explain how to establish a moral and just society. FOUR HORSEMEN is free from mainstream media propaganda -- the film doesn't bash bankers, criticize politicians or get involved in conspiracy theories. It ignites the debate about how to usher a new economic paradigm into the world which would dramatically improve the quality of life for billions. "Four Horsemen is a breathtakingly composed jeremiad against the folly of Neo-classical economics and the threats it represents to all we should hold dear."
